WELCOME TO MY WEBLOG TODAY!
When somebody writes or says something that damages your reputation, you can sue him or her for defamation of character (libel or slander as the case may be).You should, however, keep in mind that if you yourself have a bad reputation already, the defence of justification will be available to that person you accuse of damaging your character. So, my good friends, our tip for this morning is that your name is as important to you in whatever you do as your very life.Put your name above everything you do.As you are going out this morning, be honest and shun any act of corruption.Till tomorrow when we shall be meeting again on this platform, do have a nice day.Thank you.
NOTE: The defence of justification means an excuse or a reason given by the defendant in an action for defamation of character in court for the oral or written statement that he has been sued for. Therefore, if you are truly a thief and somebody calls you a thief, this person can resort to this defence by simply establishing that you are actually a thief and that you are not entitled to any damages.
