This morning, I want to stress the significance of getting your business registered with the government if you are carrying on a business as an individual in Nigeria.To an extent, the name of a business is its face and image.

Some persons have been carrying on businesses for years under certain names in this country without getting them registered and those businesses are really flourishing under those unregistered names.The risk such business owners stand is that if somebody registers a business name that has been in use by another person even for donkey years without registering that name, that person that is just registering that name will be given priority over any other person  even if the registration of that name is challenged.In that situation, the person that has been using that business name is denied of the use of that name forever.
