My name is Oluseyi Tomiwa Phillips. I am a male Nigerian lawyer.I practise law in Nigeria and I am based in the city of Ile-Ife, Osun State in the South-western part of Nigeria. My goal is to push the practice of law in Nigeria beyond the conservative frontiers to be accessible to the less -privileged Nigerians.
Tonight,19 September,2014 records a giant stride in my efforts to bring to my Nigerian readers solutions to their knotty legal issues. For some time now,I have been using only Facebook to reach out to laymen in the field of law in order to proffer solutions to their legal problems either by way of tips or suggestions.
Since I do not want to bore my esteemed readers with too many words,I would like to go straight to the main business of this blog. Although still being developed, this blog was created in furtherance of what I started on my Facebook wall @ Oluseyi Tomiwa Phillips. The major pre-occupation of this platform is to explain principles of the Nigerian law cutting across almost all areas of law in the Nigerian legal system in the simplest language and relate these legal rules to our practical day - to - day experience.Put differently,it would not be all about learning about your legal rights on the pages of textbooks.
The style that I will adopt is first by posting on this blog one legal tip per day from Mondays to Fridays. I will also entertain comments on each tip from my readers.
In addition, this blog will also be an avenue for me and my readers to comment generally on Nigerian national issues and we will be educating ourselves from legal perspectives of those issues.
By the Grace of God,my first legal tip on this blog will be posted on 22 September,2014.It promises to be educative.Watch out!
Thank you.
